Programmer Analyst 3, E-Commerce
Position Summary:
The Programmer Analyst 3, E-Commerce contributes to the strategic objectives of the IT Division as a lead developer with strong Front end development experience. This position is responsible for designing dynamic web interfaces that take advantage of current web based technologies for high scale web sites. This position will work alongside users in defining the vision, in directing the tasks of other developers, and in collaborating with a team of other strong developers. This position is located in Medford, Oregon.
Essential Functions:
- Determine business requirements, analyze and design complex application systems.
- Design and write complex application programs.
- Prepare all required documentation for the portion of work assigned and provide reporting to management as required.
- Provide technical assistance and problem resolution to clients for assigned applications.
- Troubleshoot medium complexity application and technical issues without assistance.
- Plan, develop and conduct unit, string and systems assurance tests.
- Plan and coordinate small to medium projects and direct others to project completion. This includes leading project meetings, task management, estimating, project timelines, resource allocation, prioritizing work, and managing the project as assigned.
- Off-hour, on-call responsibilities will be required as needed to support Harry & David’s business needs and/or project requirements.
Position Requirements:
- Four year college degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least five years development experience on E-Commerce N-tiered systems.
- Strong experience creating dynamic web applications using DOJO, Ajax, XML, JSON, CSS.
- Experience with jsp tags and jstl expressions.
- Experience with object oriented design and methodologies using Java J2EE.
- Experience with relational databases and data driven design with Enterprise class E-Commercesystems.
- Experience with Web Service communications using SOAP, WSDL.
- Experience designing and developing systems including writing and modifying programs, unit testing and systems analysis.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, work well with others, use productive work methods, exercise sound judgment and display initiative and innovation on the job.
