Manager, Internet Analytics
Position Summary:
The Manager of Internet Analytics is responsible for establishing and maintaining the business rules for analyzing internet usage and, evaluating trends based upon such usage, recommending and executing targeted marketing promotions, presentation/functional improvements that improve website conversion, average order size and customer lifetime value. This individual will play a key role in manifesting the strategic direction for the brand, maximizing internet traffic to improve multi-channel acquisition and retention. This position is located in Medford, Oregon. Local candidates only. No relocation benefit for this position.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize web analytics software and the marketing database to review and analyze internet activity and conversion funnels by promotion and source.
- Recommend new strategies to increase conversion and sales/visitor.
- Prepare, analyze and distribute regular reports of website activity and performance.
- Select names/segments, conduct and evaluate tests for targeted on-site promotions to select visitor segments, in partnership with website managers, merchandising, and online acquisition managers, as well as third party vendors where applicable.
- Perform regular review of web analytics business rules and implementation to ensure consistent, complete data collection.
- Recommend and oversee integration of key web metrics in company-wide reporting (marketing database).
- Recommend website enhancements to improve conversion and average order, based upon Internet activity trends.
- Act as the primary liaison between Harry & David and its web analytics vendor(s) and partner with IT and marketing to conduct annual vendor review process to ensure best practice and service levels.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of marketing experience in e-commerce.
- Proficiency in internet analysis, web analytics, and statistical/database software applications, and a thorough understanding of internet technologies and promotional tactics.
- High level of experience in Microsoft Office applications.
- Coremetrics, Business Objects, Tealeaf, or SAS experience is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
