Inventory and Cycle Counter

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for cycle counting component and finished goods inventory in warehouse, shipping and production locations. This function serves as both a measure and corrective action maintaining high inventory record accuracy (99%) This position is located in Hebron, Ohio.

Essential Functions

  • Routine cycle counting of inventory by scanning and entering information into a RF scanner.
  • Safe handling of materials in pulling and putting back pallets into fix racking (which may be as high as 40 feet) and multi-pallet stacks in bay locations.
  • Operating a forklift and "Crown" reachlift in an array of surroundings and multi-temperature settings, including sub-zero degrees.
  • Participation in annual physical inventories.
  • Auditing receiving, picking and put-away proccesses, and finished product in shipping locations.
  • Completing WMS transactions (picking, put-away, moves, etc.) that have been abandoned or completed in error.
  • "Search and Rescue" of lost product.
  • Tagging cartons and pallets as required.
  • Performing "spot checks" for IRA Specialists who are reconciling inventory.

Position Requirements:

  • Education - High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience - 6months – 1 year previous forklift experience using a cherry picker. Strong reading and math skills with proficiency in counting, adding and subtracting.

Special Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Safety Classroom Training and Harry & David Certification on Electric Pallet Jack, Crown Double Reach, Crown Stock Picker and Crown Counter Balance (will be certifed on 2 - 4 pieces)
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening.
  • Basic computer experience or experience using inventory scanning equipment.
  • Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching while gripping and lifting boxes weighing up to 75lbs or more at all levels from floor to above the head.
  • Ability to work in heights of 30 feet within OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to work in demanding circumstances which may include crowded conditions, adverse weather, cold storage (-10 to 40 degrees for intervals of 2 to 4 hours, or your entire shift) and long hours
